Terminator X Packs The Jam! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!
Umm… Anyway. Mike and I will be liveblogging our recording sessions for the next two weeks in beautiful San Francisco. Expect some new tracks snippets, lyrics on glass, influence mixes and grainy photography. Sounds adequate, right?

here are two more demos from the forthcoming - and as-of-yet untitled - brando skirts record. the first huge push for this album will take place at the end of august as mike and i enter the lab with intentions to slaughter. tracking should be done by january 2009 with a release late spring/early summer (ozu style!)…
the first one today is called “the bohomeless.” it’s based on an essay by darius james.
…and here’s a new version of “this mirror is a knife.” the original is posted below, but this one is closer to where we’re headed.

Some of that dragnet shit. Revision 53

Much as Mr. Hawking now surmises that the universe followed every possible path to its current state, I’ve recently attempted to put all possibilities into my songs. 8 minutes is 0.5% of your day. The revision is now 74.
OH LOOK! It seems I‘ve released a new album, below (yes, below even the stars).

Sorry for yelling, but it’s true.
Proyekto 009 is “The Moon had Flowered” by Sndrft. It continues the release of his back catalogue with another mindmelting tomb of restless electronica.
Proyekto 010 is “Morning Afternoon, Evening and Night” by Yellow Beard. Featuring Jason Worrell and Anthony Sanchez of Tucson, AZ, this is the first Proyekto release from a non-collective artist (aka not Mike, Luke or myself).
Here’s what we had to say to the press:

hello, hello -
we thought maybe (just maybe) you’d like to know that we’re releasing two new albums on july 4, 2008.
the first continues our archival releases of the Sndrft catalogue. the record is called The Moon Had Flowered and it’s the perfect mindmelting journey for when you’re taking a night off this summer and want to get lost.
the second release is the FIRST proyekto records offering from a non-collective artist. Yellow Beard, a duo from Tucson consisting of Jason Worrell and Anthony Sanchez, deliver a fuzzed-out concept EP specifically geared to bliss-out your day.
check back 07-04-08!
Comments (0) · Filed under: in progress, sndrft, updateshere’s a preview of a pure data project i’m working on. the noise generator is one of the components of my electronic drum setup that i’m currently building with pd and an arduino (keep an eye out, i’ll be making a detailed howto post for that one). the visualizer is controlled by the audio and was made using gem. listen cautiously, i did not normalize the audio.
hi-quality version

Today we’re releasing two new official records. One by Sndrft (aka Luke Iannini), the other by Jacques Derrida (aka Carter Maness). Both documents cull together recordings that have appeared on this blog in various stages, but now they’re packaged with snappy cover art and pointed transitions.

Sndrft - Multiply Three Overhang
Proyekto is pleased to continue their mission to package and reissue the excellent Sndrft catalogue. The next entry into the canon is an EP called Multiply Three Overhang. This record features tracks recorded in 2003-04, which run all the way from abrasive atonal exploration to poppy, bell-laden journeys that will simultaneously make your head nod and tickle the brain. Venturing into divergent territories from his last official release, Multiply Three Overhang shows another set of multiplicities to Sndrft and should prep listeners for two new LPs on the way later this year.
Jacques Derrida - No Privacy
No Privacy is a mixtape collection recorded by Carter Maness over the course of 11 cold NYC nights in the 2007-08 winter. If you’ve been paying attention to the Proyekto blog you’ve heard most of these before, but now they flow together like the auditory yeast infections they were meant to be. (That reference makes NO sense.)
Anyway, the sample and beat-heavy leanings on this record tend to mix with vocals smeared into reverb stratospheres. Most of the lyrics are unintelligible and bring to mind urban winter hymns sung by a 20-something in his bedroom. Building on the narcotic DJ aesthetic of his first two singles, No Privacy features original instrumentation and vocals spliced with mangled samples from ESG, Thomas Fehlmann, Growing, Hercules & Love Affair, Atlas Sound, Group Home, The Old Bangers and a whole slew of others. Can you spot them?

Proyekto cuts the word lines, whitening your signal with spring knife slices of noise—all the songs in the world rolling around in a cement mixer. Above all, Proyekto is a music collective, record label and philosophy. So, break out your camera gun and rush the temple.
